Thread: File transfer SNAFU

hello all,

i've been attempting friend recover various files crashed hard drive using ubunut 9.04 live cd. seemed going fine: ubuntu found drive, found files , began copying important ones onto external hard drive. got series of input/output errors , decided cancel mass copy/paste , go 1 one essential files.

problem: 2 of folders (one family photos , other work projects) no longer showing files.

don't think files have been deleted because when double-click folders take awhile load doesn't happen other folders know empty, makes me think maybe data still there not being shown reason.

has run before or know of related tips find lost in transfer data?

missing filename after '-o'
